Auburn WA sr Chris Lukezic bided his time while Cameron Schwer set the pace. Lauren Jesperson OR moved on top in the middle, and Lukezic took over in the last 1000 meters. Chris said he felt much stronger today than last week, when he was second in the Washington state 4A championship to Jesse Fayant (7th today). Lukezic dipped under 13 minutes for the 4.2k course, 7 seconds faster than 2000 winner Michael Kiter.

Chris will make his college choice any day now (the early signing period runs from Nov 14-21). The choice is down to Wake Forest, Georgetown, and Stanford, and he has visited all three. Then he will shift his training toward the Foot Locker West regional at Mt. SAC December 1. "That's been the goal all season," he said.
